Discover illumination!
This introductory course in illumination will introduce you to the techniques for producing traditional medieval illuminations, as they were practiced in the Middle Ages.
How do the internships take place?
First, you choose your illumination among many models available (but you can also bring your own!).
- Alphabet (initial), historiated drop cap, synthetic drop cap, champie drop cap
- Miniature
- Decorative illumination
You trace your model , prepare your parchment (goat skin), place the gold then apply the colors (from natural pigments).

2-hour “Initiation” family course for 4 people €130 incl. VAT.
“Initiation” course per person of 2 hours €35/pers.
“Initiation” course per person of 4 hours €70/pers.
6-hour day course €100/pers.
From two days to 6 days improvement with metal installation €500
